BILLUND, DENMARK. Popular flight planning software PMS (Preflight Management System) today announced plans to base their listing of alternate airports at flight planning stage on hotel and restaurant reviews.
PMS Chief Communications Guru Sven Blowerwhistle stated that agreements have been finalised with top review sites such as Tripadvisor and Yelp, while the software’s algorithm has already been tested under laboratory conditions. He explained that “In case of an engine failure over an unfamiliar territory, like Mauritania or Quebec, do you want to risk staying and eating in a property not voted Traveler’s Choice at least four years running?”
Blowerwhistle says pilots are already enthusiastic about the new feature. Crew briefing packages will include outlets’ star ratings, top positive and negative reviews and whether crew discounts are provided.
